To ensure our communities are proactive in the transition to clean energy, CFROG works with mobilized community members and local coalitions to promote clean energy generation, emissions reductions, and systematic moves away from fossil fuel demand infrastructure.
We advocate before local and state entities on permit and leasing decisions to oppose expansion and ensure industry and decision-makers are accountable for the climate and health impacts affecting our communities.
The Environmental Voices Academy (EVA) empowers young people to turn climate concern into action. Through interactive workshops, advocacy projects, and mentorship, students learn to organize, communicate, and create meaningful change. Together, we’re building a more just, sustainable future for Ventura County and beyond.
We work directly with communities to design science-driven air quality monitoring in West Ventura and Oxnard. Our Community Advisory Committees are trained to interpret data, develop educational tools, and create culturally relevant advocacy strategies and policy recommendations.
CFROG partners directly with local labor to build a green workforce, moving beyond the “just transition” framework. Leading the West Coast’s first offshore wind training, we aim to establish Ventura County as a hub for renewable energy jobs, ensuring a skilled local workforce is ready for the 175,000 projected positions while promoting equity and community collaboration.
CFROG is a Ventura County-based advocacy organization leading a just transition away from fossil fuels to protect our health, economy and climate.
